Shawn McDonald, a native of San Diego, has been a licensed esthetician and skincare expert in the State of California since 1986. Shawn has cared for others through touch for nearly four decades. 

In the early 90s, Shawn worked with a team of elite plastic surgeons in Los Angeles where she received hours of one-on-one experience in dermaplaning, as well as training in The MicroPeel by its creator, Christina Carlino. Under the direction of Dr. John Williams, Shawn performed skincare on some of Hollywood’s most well-known faces. During her career, Shawn has worked as an educator for a medical skincare line teaching skin theory, peel application and epidermal leveling (a.k.a. dermaplaning) to nurses and medical estheticians.

A pioneer in her field and recognized as one of the first medical estheticians in the industry, Shawn continues to work at the forefront of skincare and has spent the last ten years working for a prime dermatologist in California’s Carmel Valley.
